The fact that light can only travel so fast proves the existence of time! The thought of putting a sign on a planet that is then seen 100 million years later because it takes that long for the light to reach that place... I think that proves time right? However, how fast is the universe expanding? Does it expand faster than the speed of light at some point? Is there a relative curve that speed operates on? Is it linear or exponential?

Reading for Ideas Journal
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 by innovative_edge
In my Reading for Ideas class we will be required to record approximately two journal entries per week. I like blogs, pictures, vidoes, links etc. and I do most of my quantitative research online, so I think it will be appropriate to record these journal entries here to be tagged as "readingforideas" so that they can be referenced together at a later date.
These journal entries will consist of thoughts provoked by our readings in class and how it might apply to our personal/professional work.
We are currently reading from Italo Calvino's "Cosmicomics"
Here's to more future documentation of my mental process! Let's figure this out!
